IRIS 1 Information (Western & Central Arctic) The western and central ArcticNet Integrated Regional Impact Study (IRIS 1) encompasses the Inuvialuit Settlement Region (ISR) and the Kitikmeot region of Nunavut. The objective of IRIS 1 is to examine the impacts of climate change on the physical and socio-economic environments of the ISR and Kitikmeot. Findings will be compiled into a regional impact assessment along with information and recommendations to assist policy and regional decision-makers in creating policies related to economic development, living conditions and resource development with respect to climate change.
