2013 Amundsen Expedition

On 26 July 2013 the CCGS Amundsen left its home port of Quebec City for a 73-day journey to the Canadian Arctic in support of ArcticNet's marine-based research program. The expedition was divided into two segments:

Leg 1 – ArcticNet (26 July – 05 September) Quebec City to Resolute
Leg 2 – ArcticNet (05 September – 06 October) Resolute to Kugluktuk to Quebec City

Research Licenses

The following research licenses were obtained for the 2013 ArcticNet expedition onboard the CCGS Amundsen:

Nunavut

  • Nunavut Research Institute Scientific Research License # 05 009 13N-M;
  • Department of Fisheries and Oceans license to fish for scientific purposes in the waters of Nunavut # S-13/14-1021-NU

Northwest Territories

  • Aurora Research Institute Northwest Territories Scientific Research License # 15213;
  • Aurora Research Institute Northwest Territories Scientific Research License (SX90 Operations) # 15271;
  • Department of Fisheries and Oceans license to fish for scientific purposes in the waters of the Northwest Territories # S-13/14-1021-NU

Foreign Waters

  • Vessel Clearance to conduct scientific work in Greenland waters. Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs file No 55.GRØNLAND.9
