I obtained my B.Sc. in Wildlife Biology (1997) at McGill University, MacDonald Campus and my M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR). The latter was in collaboration with the research groups Québec-Océan and the Research Group on Aquatic Ecosystems (GRÉA) and was on the aquatic microbial ecology of the St. Lawrence middle estuary. I recently completed my Ph.D. under the supervision of Jean-Jacques Frenette (UQTR) and co-supervision of Warwick F. Vincent (ArcticNet Theme 2 Leader; Laval University). My doctoral thesis was on food web dynamics in the St. Lawrence middle estuary, specifically the carbon sources used by the aquatic biota and the ecological impacts of an invasive species (zebra mussels, Dreissena polymorpha) on the microbial community. I am a member of Québec-Océan, GRÉA, SCL (Society of Canadian Limnologists) and ASLO (American Society of Limnology & Oceanography).
