Ana Cabrerizo is at present a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Researcher in Environment Canada (CCIW), studying how climate change is affecting the presence of pollutant in the Arctic freshwater ecosystems and food webs. This project was awarded thanks to an International Outgoing fellowship (IOF) funded by the European Commission. Before that, she was awarded with a full-time postdoctoral research position/Project Officer within the Air and Climate Unit, in the Institute for Environment and Sustainability (IES) from the European Commission, working in the European Reference Laboratory for Air Pollution (ERLAP) in the Assessment of Air Quality and Population Exposure to chemicals in order to improve EU legislations. As a result, she has more than 10 years of experience in studying the fate and behavior of organic pollutants in various environmental compartments with a comprehensive background in soil, vegetation and atmospheric chemistry at local and global scales. She has authored and co-authored 15 highly-cited peer-reviewed papers publications in International Journals and JRC Technical Reports and gave more than 30 platform and poster scientific presentations at international conferences, some of them as an invited speaker
