(Biography) Graduate student at University of Alberta in Biological Sciences (Ecology) studying taxonomy and distribution of Arctic Sponges. Raised in St. John's Newfoundland, and completed a B.Sc. with a distinction in Marine Biology at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador then went on to complete the Master of Marine Studies (Fisheries Resource Management) graduate program at Marine Institute. Interested in discerning the taxonomy and distribution of sponges in the Canadian Arctic through sample collection and further species identification to identify areas of high sponge abundance and species richness.
