Dalhousie University

(Biography) Calvin studies sedimentary processes on Canada?s continental margins. He has conducted research on the eastern Canadian continental margin from the Canada-US border to Baffin Bay. The research involves the collection and interpretation of a variety of data including seismic reflection, multibeam bathymetry, sediment cores, and seabed video to understand the geological history and geomorphology of the margin. The research has applications for marine geological hazard assessment, offshore resource assessment, and management of the seabed.
