Robert Deering
Memorial University of Newfoundland

I hold a B.Sc. in Geography from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Currently I am pursuing my M.Sc. in the same department, with a project involving the study of submarine slope failures in fjords. So far, this project has taken me to some of the coastal fjords of the Cumberland Peninsula aboard CCGS Amundsen, during Leg 3 of its 2014 cruise. My project involves the mapping of these submerged features to better understand their context on the seabed, and the coring of them to determine their timing and triggering mechanisms.
