Ben Misiuk
Memorial University of Newfoundland

(Biography) I was born in Massachusetts, USA but quickly realized my parents' mistake and moved to Wolfville, NS to attend Acadia University. There I graduated with a BSc.H. in environmental science. My undergraduate honours was focused on paleolimnology of Nova Scotia lakes to determine anthropogenic impacts on fresh water bodies. After completion of my undergraduate degree I moved to St. John's, NL to study geography at Memorial University of Newfoundland under the supervision of Dr. Trevor Bell and Dr. Evan Edinger. My research at MUN focuses on marine habitat mapping around the Arctic community of Qikiqtarjuaq. I am currently in my first year of study with an aim to graduate in 2016. When not in the office I enjoy playing the violin, woodturning, and brewing.
