As part of the Takuvik team at Université Laval, I am a research professional in the remote sensing group. My research interests include estimates of Arctic Ocean primary production and phytoplankton community structure from in situ radiometric and bio-optical measurements as well as ocean color satellites. I an particularly interested in the use of novel autonomous platforms such as underwater floats and gliders as well as unmanned aerial vehicles. Other research interests include under-ice radiative transfer, nonlinear estimation, multivariate statistics and machine learning. I have a strong background in software development from a prior 25 year career as a software engineer. But now I like to get my hands wet and live for field work.
