Research in the North is an exciting field and there is precisely where I am. My name is Kate Snow and I worked as a summer student for 3 years in the Canadian Western Arctic Research hub, Aurora Research Institute. Upon graduating with my Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences with an Emphasis in Biology at Pensacola Christian College, I began working on a work contract for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. The connections, knowledge and experience that I was able to gain at the Aurora Research Institute allowed me to quickly pursure my career as a Biologist. I am now gaining work experience as an Educational Assistance at the Inuvik High school for my heart truly lies in bridging science and education in the North.
