ArcticNet - About us

Sébastien Descamps
post-doctoral fellow
Environment Canada - Canadian Wildlife Service - Northern Conservation Division

I am a post-doctoral fellow at the Canadian Wildlife Service (collaborator: Grant Gilchrist) and Université du Québec à Rimouski (Collaborator: Joël Bety). My research mainly concerns the population dynamics and life history strategies in long-lived vertebrates. I am currently studying the demography of the common eider in the low Canadian Arctic, but am also involved in research on King Penguin in Sub-Antarctic.
