Laura Atikessé is a research officer for the Nasivvik Chair. She is newly arrived in the team and she works on the First Nation Youth, Environment and Health Pilot Study ? JES!-YEH! Laura holds a Ph.D. in biology and a graduate diploma in environmental toxicology from UQÀM. Since 2002, she has been involved and working with First Nations communities. From 2009 to 2016, Laura worked for the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay as a planning, programming and research officer. Her main files were environmental contaminants, indoor air quality, drinking water quality and major development projects.
