Mallik Mahmud
University of Calgary

(Biography) Mallik Mahmud is a Doctoral student at the Cryosphere Climate Research Group at the Department of Geography, University of Calgary. His research focuses on multi-frequency polarimetric microwave remote sensing observation of sea ice with particular interest on satellite-based sensors. He is currently investigating the utility of L-band SAR mission for sea ice observation in the Arctic. Mallik completed his MSc in 2015 from the University of Calgary where he worked with time series RADARSAT dataset to investigate sea ice melt onset in Canadian Arctic over the large temporal scale.
