(Biography) I hold a B.Sc. Combined Honours degree in Earth Sciences and Oceanography from Dalhousie University, in which I used oxygen and hydrogen isotopes in authigenic clays from the Himalayas to determine palaeo-climate conditions. Currently I am a Masters student at Memorial University of Newfoundland, researching sea level change for eastern Baffin Island, NU. My fieldwork has taken me to Qikiqtarjuaq, NU and the coastal fiords of Cumberland Peninsula aboard the M.V. Nuliajuk. This fieldwork involved mapping the uncharted seafloor, in search of submerged shorelines left behind by rising sea levels. I have also been involved in planning Student Day for the past two years, and enjoy meeting with the new Arctic students and mentors who take part in this event.
